BioTrove Loads TaqMan® Assays
When researchers receive their OpenArray™ plates, the assays are already dried-down in the through-holes. Researchers send their TaqMan® assays to BioTrove to be loaded in a format directed by the customer.

BioTrove uses proprietary robotics and well-documented procedures to place the appropriate TaqMan® assays in the correct through-holes.

Researchers Load Their Samples, Cycle, and Image
Researchers receive OpenArray™ plates containing dried-down assays. Then, they simply add sample and master mix, seal, cycle, and image. The system can generate tens of thousands of data points in a single day.

(a.) A researcher loads an OpenArray™ plate in the OpenArray™ Loading Device. (b.) Sample is transferred from a 384-well sample plate to pipette tips. (c.) A researcher loads sample into the OpenArray™ plate using the OpenArray™ NT Autoloader. (d.) The OpenArray™ plate is inserted into a case filled with immersion fluid and sealed. (e.) The plates are cycled in the OpenArray™ NT Cycler or another commercial thermal cycler. (f.) Up to three OpenArray™ plates are imaged together in the OpenArray™ NT Imager for about 5 minutes.
