OpenArray™ SNP Genotyping requires thermal cycling and fluorescent imaging of assays. Researchers choose between using the OpenArray™ NT Cycler for both cycling and imaging or using a commercial thermal cycler then imaging with the OpenArray™ NT Imager for increased throughput.
The OpenArray™ NT Cycler and Imager are specially designed to image three OpenArray™ plates simultaneously, enabling researchers to process over 9000 assays in minutes.
Results are captured on the PC controller (included). The OpenArray™ SNP Analysis software enables researchers to view specific assay data and scatter plots. It automatically calls the genotype of samples, while allowing researchers to adjust analysis parameters.
Data from many OpenArray™ plates may be combined into the same data project. Researchers can analyze many thousands of data points on a single scatter plot.
Either OpenArray™ NT instrument uses three filtered high-brightness LEDs to excite and a cooled CCD camera to detect. The excitation and emission wavelengths support FAM and VIC® detection as well as other common commercially available dyes, making it an ideal tool for TaqMan® assays.
