New facility allows for expanded drug discovery capabilities

Woburn, MA, April 1, 2003—BioTrove, Inc. announced today that the company has relocated their corporate headquarters from Cambridge, Massachusetts to a 20,000 square foot state-of-the art facility on 12 Gill Street in Woburn, Massachusetts. The new location will allow the company to continue to expand the development and commercialization of their lead technologies; the Living Chip™ and Lab-on-a-Tape™. The Living Chip enables the rapid initiation and parallel screening and analysis of up to 24,576 samples in nanoliter-scale reaction volumes, far exceeding the throughput capacity of current technologies. The Lab-on-a-Tape system combines nanoliter volumes with automated high throughput analysis for rapid screening and assay development. BioTrove achieved its first commercial collaboration with Pfizer, Inc. in an agreement involving Lab-on-a-Tape.
