For SNP or Endpoint Customers
In the short term, there will be no changes. BioTrove will continue to make OpenArray plates, with TaqMan reagents being provided by the customer. BioTrove will continue to sell and support OpenArray plates and instruments until AB finishes integrating the OpenArray products into their portfolio. Once the integration is complete, AB will be the sole supplier and any future changes to the sales or support process will be communicated at that time.

For Real-Time Customers:
The AB collaboration will not affect our real-time OpenArray customers. BioTrove will continue to sell and support the real-time OpenArray products as usual.

We anticipate that the OpenArray SNP and Endpoint products will be available from AB during the second half of 2008. Until then, customers will continue to order from BioTrove. When the transition is complete, customers will be notified and given the appropriate contacts. At that time, all sales, support and service for SNP and Endpoint customers will be provided by AB.

Once the integrated product is available through AB, pricing will reflect the inclusion of the TaqMan reagents which are pre-loaded on the OpenArray plates. However, customers will no longer have to provide assay in advance.

BioTrove remains responsible for sales and service for SNP and Endpoint customers up to the point of transition. After the transition is complete, the local Applied Biosystems representative will serve you. We anticipate providing our customers with the relevant AB contacts when appropriate. There is no change for real-time customers.

During the transition period, BioTrove will continue to accept orders for all OpenArray products. After the transition is complete, OpenArray SNP and Endpoint products will be ordered through Applied Biosystems. More information will be provided when appropriate.

Orders for OpenArray real-time products will continue through BioTrove.
